ISO9001

The principal activity of QAS International Limited deals with ISO9001:2008. These are all international quality management standards controlled by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) in Geneva.

Many businesses and organisations require their suppliers to conform to established quality standards, and may not consider buying from those that do not. If you have achieved ISO9001:2008, you could be eligible to tender for more profitable work.

The revised standard, ISO9001:2008 increases the scope of the original, and covers customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

QAS International and the International Standards Organisation (ISO)

QAS International's Chief Assessor, Owen Wright, has visited the ISO offices in Geneva and held conversations with the Director.

At about the time of this visit, the ISO published its booklet, 'ISO 9001 for Small Businesses'. This guide to the implementation of the Standard demonstrates how to avoid over specification, which had become a serious problem for small businesses. QAS International refers constantly to this publication for its guidance.
